          Thanks once again thanks for all your help.
          So this banner has no connection with WW2? I can't see why a person would take a commeritive banner to the islands.

          The banner could be a J force souviner but more likely a item brought to NZ in at some other time.

          It could also be a WW1 item, swapped/given by navy sailors in a forgin port?
