    Pistol grip meaning

    This writing was found on a 34 Mauser grip, brought back from the Pacific theater after WWII.

    Can someone please help me with a translation?

    The Owner used this rifle in the Manchurian/Mukden Incident, December 1931. I cannot find the 5th kanji in the first line.

    満州事變從軍護身用

    Manshū Jihen Jugun goshin-yō
    Manchurian Incident Self-Defence Use

    昭和六年十二月
    Shouwa Roku-nen Jyuni-gatsu
    Showa 6 year [1931], December

    所有
    Shoyū [ownership]

    Manshuu Jihen (in Japanese).
    Mukden Incident (in English).
