Thanks Nick! That is about the weirdest name I've seen .... except for 猿田 Saruta [Monkey Paddy]. My wife says there are many more that are more embarassing.

Your wife must mean something like　御手洗, read as Mitarai, but meaning Toilet in Japanese.
I'm glad I'm only a Little Shrine, though Omiya would have matched my size better.

THAT'S THE ONE !!!! Gee ... I'd change my name if ever I were born into that family! Nick, thanks for reminding me what the name is .... and for the belly-laugh I just had.

For other readers, 御手洗 [Mitarai] can be pronounced "O-Te Arai," honorable hand wash [room] ... which is lavatory in English (>Late Latin lavātōrium, > Latin lavāre to wash). So the soap "LAVA" is really a play on words; the soap includes volcanic pumice and has a depiction of a volcano on the wrapper, but "lava" also means wash. [NEVER, EVER use lava soap as a substitute for regular soap while in the shower ..... do NOT ask me how I know].
