    Katana help please guys!

Hi all. I have a Japanese officers katana and dont know much if anything about them. I do know that there are usually markings on the tang from what I have seen on here though. I was surprised not to see any on here, just file marks and age patina on the tang. Any help indentifying this blade maker age ect would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance, Johnno.

Army issue sword, factory made blade( looks to me), with combat cover on the scabbard.

Thanks Steve. I was told when I aquired this katana that it was a older than WW2 and traditionally made blade. Well after 6 months of ownership I finally pulled it apart for the moment of truth and posting it with the experts for info. So it is a older than WW2 blade. Any estimate on age? Do I need to take and post better pictures of the blade not just the tang? I really appreciate the help. Regards Johnno.

I feel the photograph makes the nakago look darker than it actually is. The file marks are very sharp and I agree that this is an unsigned WW2 factory made blade.

Well Bob would certainly know better than I, I stand corrected! The tang color and habaki fooled me

So guys, it's a WW2 factory made blade then? Any better or more pics needed or case closed? Thank you all, Johnno.
