              I've always been fascinated by this topic. Read his book "No Surrender: My Thirty-Year War" years ago.

                    I remember the news when he surrendered! Wow ... that was about 25 years after the war ended.

                      Here is the original newspaper reporting from stars and strips Okinawa when Onoda and Kozuka (who was killed) clashed with Philippine troops in 1972.
