Sword identification

The silver symbol is actually a family "mon" meaning family emblem. It's makes the sword more collectable. Only people of some noble/rich ancestry could use this as fitting.
It's upside down in your picture so it will be hard to read it. You should flip it in order to make it easier for assistance.

I searched 丸に濱家紋 [Maru-ni-Hama Kamon] and various combinations of the kanji, but could find NOT find any "kamon" -- only a few business "logos" similar to the mon -- restaurants or companies [Coast-within-a-Circle].
Maruhama Ltd.,
Selling Kishuu "meibutsu" [famous foods of local areas -- Kishu]
On the back of a festival "hapi" coat:
Interestingly enough, Maruhama 丸濱 is a surname; perhaps that was his name; or perhaps his family's shop sign?
