Captured Japanese signed flag with period pictures of the flag

Here is a flag that I recently added to my collection. Its a nice flag with period provenance. This flag was brought home by H.A. LaSauce. It appears that LaSauce was a navy man, as there are several pictures of Navy men posing with the flag. There is also a capture certificate allowing LaSauce to bring the flag home. If anyone can give me any information on this flag or the man who brought it home, I would appreciate the help. Thanks and enjoy the pictures.
