    What is this drawing thing?

I got it years ago from a WW2 Marine, but I have no idea what it is or what it might be worth.

    Thanks,
    Ron

The upper right corner is addressed to "Franku Paabaa-san"
    フランク・パーバーさん

    Mr. Frank Paba

Thanks Guy. I didn't want to mention it before, but the Marine's name I got it from was Frank Pava. I suppose it was probably something that he had a person make, or bought it and that that put on it.

          Guy,

Did you know Frank, or are you just pleased that you got it?

There is also a Japanese name written at the bottom right corner.

Seems like Shiobasa ? The person who gave this piece to Frank.

            Regards,
            Taka

These were sometimes done by Japanese prisoners for GIs

Thank you Taka. Sorry I am an idiot when it comes to Japanese, is that a family name, a woman, or a man? I have a few other drawing type things he brought back, I will have to try to find them and see if they are by the same person.

                Ron

                Jareth,

I just saw your reply, thanks for your information too.

                  Hi Ron-san,

I'm afraid I can't indicate which character for the name(it's in English) and the
                  gender of the sender.

I think it's a Last Name. (To me this is an uncommon name)

                  Regards,
                  Taka

Hi Takasan ... I can see it a bit better:

                    Shiobara
Ron, Shiobara is a surname and in kanji: 塩原 [Salt Field]
