Japanese Officer's Sidecap

I located a WWII Japanese officer's sidecap. The cap looks entirely authentic, but it has a rust-brown-colored silk interior with a tattered leather sweatband. Is the rust-brown colored liner unusual for an IJA officer soft cap? Thanks!!

Officers had to buy their own uniforms, so their caps are usually tailor made with whatever liner they wanted.
