IJN Canteens

I had the canteens out today and figured I would take some photos.

Here are two Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) canteens. Unlike the Imperial Japanese Army, Navy enlisted men and officers used the type or style of canteen.

The canteen on the right is an early style canteen with brass hardware and cap while the canteen on the left is a later style canteen with black-painted aluminum hardware and cap.

Here are two more IJN canteens.

The canteen on the right is a late war brown-painted steel canteen with carrier (canteen is anchor marked on the backside of the canteen) while the canteen on the left is another possible late war variation canteen (I have seen where this style canteen has been reported as a Navy paratrooper canteen, however, I do not share this belief) or it's a civilian canteen.
