    I wonder about those straps. The pessimist in me thinks they might of come from something else like a piece of heavier equipment hence the rollers & what looks like marks on leather where buckles were once in a different position. I've always thought these light weight tins were keep in back back etc. why the need to hang them off the shoulder etc is curious. Maybe someone ha period photos of these straps being worn?

          i think that the belt around the mes tin is not regular, i think it is self made but i think it is period made

          it was not easy to remove the belt of the mestin,, you see on the mes tin the diferent of paint,,,
