    Hi Sergey,

Are there any markings in the bag?

Firt time to see such bag.

If it's Japanese, could be for mounted, or officer type.

If it's not, could be some European, Western type of mounted, or officer type.

    Regards,
    Taka

I'm far from an expert but they both resemble Naval Landing Force haversacks . NLF are rarely marked .

          Thanks for your opinion
But there are probably books or who collect the Japanese items. I collect German and I can say it is a German bradbag or not, why is it hard to define?

            Hi Sergey,

Can you post the rest of materials that you bought along with the pack (map case, cap and canteen), maybe that would help us to identify.

            Thank you and regards,
            Taka

                Hi Sergey,

Thank you very much for posting your items.

I think your bag might be a civilian type.

The leather map case might be a pouch for small objects, or personal items.

I have a few more questions, hope you don't mind.

-Is there any labels or stamps inside the cap? (Might be a civilian type)

-The Two rolls of gaiters, are there any labels sewed at the end ? (Could be for Army, Navy or Civilian)

                - Any markings on/in the leather case?

                Thank you and regards,
                Taka

                          Hi Sergey,

Again, thank you for posting the photos.

The hat is a civilian example.

The leather case is for putting small/personnel objects. Could be civilian made.

Probably, most of the things you got are civilian related.

                          Hope it helps,

                          Taka

In my opinion so called bread bag is civilian as well. Similar to early SNLF but without slit on top.
