I do not believe this is Chinese but a very beat up poorly mounted Japanese blade. Evidence being the old habaki which is poorly made and splitting and the build up of crud around it. Not worth chasing uyou want to make it into a hundting knife.

The habaki sure looks like its weilded on , and not dirt.
100% crap from China , no doubt.
