Signed Tsuba With Butterflies

Hey gang!

I came across a sword that was a WWII vet bring back... but has been stored poorly and played with over the years... the blade was in bad shape, the scabbard was split, and the grip was damaged badly.... However the one attractive thing on this piece was this Tsuba.

There is some sort of strange insert in the Tsuba... They are most definitely separate pieces... one of them moves ever so slightly.

Those inserts are made same way when closeing kozuka and kogai-ana on tsubas.
It looks like silver or shakudo.

Very nice tsuba, I don't recall seeing the butterfly motif before.
