seems half of my Japanese stuff is civvie related. Was hoping this coat was military as I was going to sell it on as part of a full set. Also have boots I was curious about will post them later.

Looks to be an issued Japanese Army Type 98 Winter Coat. Hard to see but I think its dated Showa 17 (1942). Nice

The bayonet strap is frequently removed, possibly for civilian use, but it was always there.
This is size 6 (smallest) IJA showa 17 manufacture EM coat inspected at the Tokyo Depot.Comment
