WW2 Smaller size signed Japanese Flag

Picked this up over the weekend from a local vets brother, not sure what it says, his brother told him it came from a Japanese CP, has what appears to be a temple stamp in the one corner. Thoughts on a translation?

See the link below regarding these "fake" Tojo signed flags. There are also other posts regarding the same if you do a search for "Tojo Flag".

Yeah, but .... in my opinion these signatures are good -- at least done by somebody who knows Japanese.

Far left bottom corner signed Showa 10th year (1935)

Afterword: Okay ... maybe I didn't understand what a "Tojo Flag" is ... I viewed the link. Hmmmmm "retard level" kanji? Well, I suppose that's my level! (;_

Tojo' s name in JPN Kanji is 東條英機 (Tojo Hideki) 2nd flag. Last name goes first for Japanese and Chinese.

Howerer, in 1st flag wrote 東條英相 (Tojo Hidesou). Last word is wrong.

            Pretty bad writings.

Have to be very cautious when dealing with Yosegaki flags.

            Best regards,
            Taka

These are wartime or immediate post-war fakes sold to G.I.s. They were probably made in the Philippines by a local Chinese, or at least someone familiar with the writing. (do a search as suggested earlier and you'll see several more just like it, including a period photo I posted of 2 G.I.s holding one.) If you see a few you'll become familiar with them and be able to spot them right away.

These are tricky because they really are WW2 period items and often come direct from vets, but they aren't real Japanese yosegaki. Still a legitimate WW2 collectable for what it is IMO.

Yes as you mentioned. Fake as in not a real Japanese soldiers flag but made for GI's
