Very nice officers winter field cap.

That cap has the look of originality..

Looks nice & original. Is insignia resewn? Hard to tell. Should be machine sewn on. Do I see outline of a removed diamond label on interior dome?

Looks like nice example of A Type 1 Navy field cap.

The chinstrap adjuster is in square shaped leather, while some other ones I've encountered were with square metal buckles.
