    Who is this sculpture of ?

    Found this and am in need of info who is it ? When made ? Looks like red clay or teracotta type of material . Any help is appreciated guys .

        Looks like a bust of Japanese General Nogi Maresuke. I have seen many statues and busts of him.

          I agree and if you Google his name and look at the images that result you can find some pretty close matches.

            Looks very similar


            WWII era General Nogi Ceramic Bank. 4” high in excellent condition showing a few minor scuffs. General Nogi was a hero of the Russo-Japanese war who with his wife committed suicide shortly after the Emperor Meiji’s funeral cortege left the palace in 1912. When in Tokyo you can visit Nogi’s house and see the spot where he killed himself.
