Can I get someone to help translate these Japanese vehicle plates for me and possibly tell me what vehicle they are from? Thank you very much

    Regards, David.

From an Isuzu truck. The black plate shows the gear shift pattern.

The ヂーゼル自動車工業株式会社 (Diesel Auto Mobile Manufacturing Industry Co.) was used from 1941~1942.

I think your example was war time produced.

The いすゞ trade mark was used from 1949 ~ 1974

CB and Taka, thank you for the info and translation.

        Taka,

so the use of these characters いすゞ indicates that it was used from 49-74? Here is another tag from a Type 95 Kurogane Scout car with the same style of characters as the Isuzu. Just want to clarify. Thanks again for the help.

        David.

There is only one original working condition Kurogane in Japan, by the way.

The license plate above definitely war time contracted.

Forgot to mention the black plate in second photo is from Nissian. I dunno what era but the the Kanji writings are old (per-war or immediate post-war).

          Best regards,

          Taka

The first aluminum plate (with ヂーゼル), I believe it is 1941~1942 produced.

Just the いすゞlogo it self was used from 1949 ~ 1974.

The Isuzu company used three different logo since 1949.
