    Navy summer tunic?

    Hi,
Does this tunic and the button look genuine?

Looks OK but I'd want to see an interior label or stamp

I only have pictures , but there is a handwritten size medium in the neck.
No pictures of the tunic open. Where is the tag placed? Behind left pocket?

What kind of headgear would fit? Field cap with 1 or 2 stripes?
I have a officer visor cap ,but needs a white cover.

should have some interior label. Diamond label for name or typical label/stamp. Ask seller. Yes either white field cap or peak cap with white cover

could of had tag removed. These are common enough to wait for a better example

The buttons on this one looks to be aluminum so probably late war and may not have had a diamond label but if it was removed, there would be signs of it where it was sewn into the inside of the tunic as Jareth Mentioned.

The cotton cloth didnt glow with black light ,but the threads did.

Oh my goodness! The "kanji" are terribly formed by someone unfamiliar with balance and stroke-order! I can read them, and they say the correct thing; but it looks like someone unfamiliar with Chinese/Japanese copied an original -- using a round-tipped marker -- then had a rubber stamp reproduced.

                          Terrible!!

I call this a two second look fake.

                            Good thing you returned it.

might be a cupman special too. Sorry. Be patient. These are not scarce. You'll find a textbook example soon
