Anyone know what this Japanese case is?

First off -- thanks in advance for any help given -- I appreciate your time. I assume this case is Japanese. It looks like something used with cavalry or maybe a sight case.

I can't tell you what exactly this case was used for but you were close, the symbol indicates it was part of the gear of a Japanese Army veterinarian.

I have a bandage with that same symbol from image 4. I assumed it was medical for humans but apparently was for animals!
