uniform collar souvenirs

I have seen a couple separate online auctions over the past year where IJA uniform collars have been allegedly souvenired. I am talking about the entire collar and not just the tabbed portion. I figure that anything and (most) everything was brought back as a souvenir, but collars, and untabbed ones at that? It seems strange. Anyone have collars in their collection and any stories behind these souvenirs? Any thoughts/comments appreciated, thanks!

George I thought that auction was strange too. I've never seen collars cut off like that. Only thing i could think of is that those cut off collars might of had tabs on them & were removed recently?

I wonder if it is the same dealer from the previous collar sale. Maybe a pattern is forming.
