Woodwork find rare #4 variation of Late war Officer/NCO sword

I was lucky today to run into this late war sword. When I first saw it, I was not sure if it is a good one, but after checking Dawson book, it made my day This is a first one I ever saw until today. It was never in collection before. I do not collect Japanese, but I took my chance on this one.
    I hope you like it.

    regards Rajko

A very nice piece of history, showing what the Japanese military have to use
            during late war period.

            Definitely a keeper.

            Best regards,

            Taka

VERY neat piece! Reminds me of a late war variation that was brought into my place a few years ago by the vets son...very late war officer's shin gusto, but there it was in Dawson's book, too! That's a nice find. Congrats.

For not collecting Japanese stuff you have a knack for finding some neat pieces!
I'm not that familiar with this pattern (there aren't that many around) but I do like what I see in it. I'd love to find one of these!

                      Eric,
I love blades, so if I run into it I try to get it. First time I saw it, I thought it was one of the new Chinese fakes or the WWII Chinese copy of Japanese sword. That is why it is good to have a good books to look the stuff up.

Don't often see this type with a wrapped handle. Nice find.
