Japanese gas mask??

The only Japanese items I own are a flag and a rifle, so my knowledge is lacking in the area. I was approached about traing an old shotgun I own for this gas mask. Sorry for the photos, this is the only two he has sent me. The gun is worth $100-$125. What can you guys tell me about this mask.

Yup, a nice little civil defense gas mask but not really worth the value of the gun.
If it were a military mask with the bag and in good condition it would have been a great trade
