Japanese WW2 Aircraft Instrument? Any ideas?

Just came across is interesting bring back item and have no idea what it is besides that it came off a japanese aircraft, anyone have an idea?

It's a very neat autopilot directional gyro for Japanese navy aircraft

Well now that's awesome! The estate of the vet wants $500 for it tho as I didn't know anything about it I did not pick it up as of yet
