    Signed WWII Japanese flag

    Hi guys,
I recently acquired this flag, was told the name translated to Shintani Sinpei, and that some of the slogans translated to "May God prosper your arms" and "Long live Imperial Japanese Army". What do you guys think of it, and can anyone translate anything else from it? Thanks!

Shinpei is correct, but the family name could well be Niiya (both are normally encountered legitimate names with the same spelling)

Thanks a lot Nick, I appreciate that info! Are the two slogans I was told are on there correct? I was told there might be more but the person wasn't sure what they translated to. He just said there was a LOT of names on it, and that the center sun being stitched in was an earlier version of the flag (If that's true).
