Geoff, I'm looking only for ray or shark skin covered saya, exc. cond. gold/gilt on hardware & exc overall condition. Would love a family mon on handle but I can dream! So long as scabbard is ray/shark leather cover is a big plus since you know I love SNLF ! Blade must be in fine condition BUT machine made is prefered. Buying it as display & not interested in old blades. Any phone #s or contact info is appreciated.

                    Copper

Top sword in the photo on the right.

I purchased this piece from Paul Vondrak who is a very fair Dealer.
I am wondering if there is any religious connection with the Japanese
to Copper? Paint, Tsuba, and all fittings are made or painted copper
