    Flea Market Japanese Navy Flag

Found this today at our local flea market from a picker friend of mine, measures roughly 3' by 6', two piece construction and made of cotton, really a nice flag. I think this is a building/office type flag, the rope is not ral heavy for ship use but it is reinforced where the rope goes thru the bunting, neat flag, thoughts?

Need some close ups to form any opinion. The bunting & ties are not typical of wartime/pre-war flags I have owned personally. That doesn't mean it's bad, but it does mean I'd want a closer look before making any judgment.

Here they are, came home with a 6th Marine division vet, I also got a WW2 Japanes Sgt. Majors overcoat from the same vet lot.

Looks like a fairly high quality flag, made to be used and probably an "issued" flag as opposed to a private purchase one.

It is a pretty well made flag, glad to add it to my collection. Thanks Papa Nambu.
