I thought the reason it sold for that price is that the stitching was restitched I think. I don't think the inside leather is supposed to have those cross stitches (look at the picture where you can see the insignia pins). The stitching is supposed to be parallel horizontal stitches I think. Restitching always has those cross stitches. I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I read that somewhere.

I agree the price was good but if he tried to sell it here he would have probably charged $1000 and may-be got $875 or nobody would have wanted it.I think that the $725 was a good price for a quick sale.Jmo but if he had of put it up here for $750 it would have sold real fast.There are a few really nice Japanese helmets on e stand that are just sitting there because the price is so high jmo.
