I dont like a kaigunto theres on ebay right now
It has some issues

2 different quality ashi's , mounted to far from kuchigane.
Seppa near habaki dosnt look to match the other seppa behind in size. Fits near fuchi.
Someone has polished the large seppas

Silly question, but, do you think the polishing of the large seppas could have been done period by the owner or is it always done post war ? I am asking cos I have seen quite a few like that.

I dont think the japanese officer polished it with a abrasive product.
If it was becaurse of use , the big one near habaki would have been dark. Not both.
Some people polish anything that can shine.
