I found this:

real name: 友信 (Tomonobu) 大矢 供一
Tomonubu. Real name Oya Tomoichi [or Tomokazu]

and on another (Chinese) site:
友信 大矢供一 S15.08.31 [1940]

That's all I could find.

Couple more pictures of the sword .
It is an arsenal made blade, condition is what is is ... a bit of over enthusiastic cleaning on the tsuba but except that it looks like a good "text-book" WW2 period Kai-gunto to me ?

Yes, definitely WWII-period Naval sword.
