    Help with Japanese Flag

I recently purchased this japanese meatball silk flag in a wooden box. Any ideas if this is WWII period or post war? What do the writings say?

Flag is about 2' x 3' with reinforced corners.

    Thanks, for any help.

The writing going right to left is a good sign it's a 1940s or earlier flag.
