Japanese stuff

Hello forum...

I found these items last Saturday yard saling.

I assume it's all Japanese.... but... the holster has no Kenji... and the flag looks like a US Hurricane warning banner?

The holster has letters/numbers... and the flag only has one tie similiar to Japanese flags.

The photos are the best part. Are they post cards?

They has the weight and feel of photographs.... and don't have the higher quality feel as a postcard would. Also... there are captions on all of them.

Are they press photos? I see Tojo.

The Japanese medals are nice... but... seem to be fairly worthless on EBay.

news/press photos. nice that awards have boxes but all are pretty common red cross, china incident, 7th and 8th class rising sun orders (I think). holster may be japanese made but private purchase for a foreign pistol, at least not for the common jpn pistols (type 26, 14, 94, baby or papas). My $0.02...


oh, I think the ribbon and the circle pin are not with the correct medals....I believe the ribbon is for the redcross, which also has the cross pin. the circle one may go with one of the rising suns...

I am pretty sure the flag is a US signal corps flag.
