Paratrooper bayonet scabbard

I cannot find another like it i suspect it is a paratrooper bayo. scabbard but not sure just yet , any opinions are welcome ,

It's cut down. A lot of GIs made fighting knives out of Japanese bayonets and cut down and reworked the scabbards to fit the shorter blades. A paratrooper scabbard would have the place for the strap on the frog to go through. Even if that part were missing the hole for the screw would still be there.
