Sarute opinion pls ?

I am very much a newbie at Japanese swords and this tassel swivel does not look right to me - Can you tell me your opinion please ?

Never seen a sarute like that. My fist opinion was china fake ,but maybe its homemade like Budo45 said.
Does it have wear ? Are the makings on the ito from the sarute?

Many thanks for your replies. The surate does not appear to have wear marks or have made any marks on the ito either, which appears patinated where the sword would have been held.

Okay. Does the wear in the sarute screw match the sarute prongs that goes into it when the sarute is down both sides?

Just a guess, but it looks to me to be a modern sarute of the type you would find on a decorative replica.
