To me, the liner and strap does not match the outside condition.

I wouldn't give this helmet an automatic thumbs down. Net looks good, and that kind of liner we know existed from other examples. Seems like Giorgio of IWF just sold one with a similar liner, although I believe it was canvas. This is a late war lid, so maybe that explains it. Personally I like it, although I readily admit I am still a bit of a novice when it comes to IJ helmets.

Actually, when I look at this one there are a lot differences. However, that does not mean the six tongued leather liner is fake. Would be nice to hear what the experts think.

I am the same just trying to learn from your experience.i thought the canvas liners were cold weather liners .is this right ?

This is what I have heard, but I don't know. I had a shipboard heavy Navy helmet with a canvas liner. Makes sense, I suppose. But the helmet in question looks to have a leather liner.
