Need help with some Kanji translation

Need help with these items and what they say. First one is yellow writing on an IJN helmet. Second is a wooden box and then a flag. Thanks for any help.

I really want to know what the box was used for.

Helmet: Too sloppy for me to read.

      Box: See http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=440795

Flag: Mostly typical yosegaki with the usual "Eternal good fortune in battle" and lots of signatures. Up by the child's hand prints "Father, Banzai", touching...
      His name was Mishina Yoshichiyo

Thanks for your help!! So is the box related to navy use? Maybe bullets.

As mentioned in the link I gave you "packing crate for the navy 25mm AA ammunition", so, yes "Navy bullets".

Unlike the other box, yours has a date, but it's partially covered by that bit of tape so I can't help you with that.

The flag was probably given to a medical student, as a doctor is signing as the head of the school of medicine at a university along with a member of his staff. Indeed this doctor had served as the head of the school of medicine at the Hokkaido University from mid December 1943, so the flag was most likely presented in 1944 in the northern island of Japan. The doctor's name is Sakusaemon Kodama, a specialist in Ainu studies, the aborigines of the Japanese northern island.

That's the part the tape is covering

Papa and Nick are the best in translation. My little contribution:
                  1.Showa ( Japanese calender year)
2.Feb.( can not see the year due to that tape)
                  3.25
                  4.machine gun
                  5. detonator
                  6.first style
                  7. 80
                  8.name of that navy factory
                  9.navy
                  10. factory
                  11.name of that detonator

Thanks Chen! Thanks everyone for the help. I wonder if its worth removing the tape.
