Does anyone know how a lanyard attaches to a type 14 nambu?

The lanyard goes from top- Down through the ring and the other end goes through the loop. Then tightend.

Its called a "Larks foot" knot, just use google images and it will show you the knot.

Lanyard

Many thanks for the info, guys. I just bought a lanyard, & it came w/ a short length of string, so I thought it was used to secure it to the gun.

the string is for easy mounting through loop, due to the thick lanyard string.
The thin string is afterwards removed.
