Japanese flag, interested in a certain area of the flag

The flag was presented to a Miyajima, but first name not mentioned. Several family members signed. The area you marked is only one of two poems on the flag.

Thanks Nick! Thats another area I was interested in. I thought it may be a saying or poem, however with the old script cursive, it was hard to tell. From what I understand this style of writing is hard to read for many. It makes me wonder if cursive writing will soon be a lost art in the English language as well. Its a bit sad to think of a written form of language dying before our very eyes, or at least within a single generation. Thanks Nick
