Here is my Navy Helmet with a Nice gloss to it. It is a shipboard grey overpaint and the paint is more on the green side. Not as extreme as yours tho.

Yea I really liked it also. I bid on it but not much as we are in saving mode right now. You got it for a great price. Your pics make it look even better!! Attached is an image that has been posted a lot around the web. It is from a period Japanese magazine. It shows a helmet in high gloss finish.
