Just picked this up.It is 36''inch long from tip to top and just the blade is a little over 27''.No writing on the tang.I gave $750 for it.Did I do OK?Any info would be great.

I would ;but its so confusing.I collect WW1 &2 German.Which i know quite a bit;but these swords are harder then Japanese arithmetic.(Don't Laugh)

Looks like a real Samurai sword ...from the hamon you can tell that its a fine blade...I believe you did very good considering that WW II machine made blades go for even more money...Comment

Nakago means "tang" in dagger terms and oil quenched refers to a step in the cooling process.
