Hello everyone. I'm trying to get more information on this sword. The blade is 27" long. It has some writing on the blade, with the number 304 written on the blade. There is writing on both sides of the blade. Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to get info, and what I should pay for the sword.

That is one butt ugly repro. Good thing too as some of them are getting pretty convincing.

An acquaintance of mine who travels to China to buy antique furniture, decorative arts etc, has hundreds of these swords in his shop in Delaware - they were 60.00 each a few years ago. I can't count the number of times that I see these at flea markets and auctions in my area. A friend of mine paid 1500.00 for one, luckily he paid for it with a check and was able to stop payment on it.
