Type 91 Grenade (w/ booster) - Original Paint?

Here are some photos of a WWII Japanese Type 91 grenade, with booster for use in the "Knee" mortar, that I picked up at a local gunshow this weekend. Based on the markings on the grenade fuze and body, coupled with the residue of explosive filler remaining in it, I feel pretty comfortable that the grenade is original. I am, however, not sure whether the paint on the exterior of the grenade is original from WWII.

Any thoughts or comments on the grenade would be appreciated.

The red paint on the top and the black paint on the booster are original. The body appears to have been rust pitted pretty bad, cleaned, and repainted. I have a few that have the same type of sparkly / crystalized explosive remnants. Neat looking grenade.

I would agree that the body has been repainted, and the booster and fuze have original paint.
