Translation Help Needed

Greetings everyone.

I need help translating the writing on the back of a photograph.

I do not deal with Japanese related items and I would just like to know what the back of the photograph says.

It is quite difficult to make out, but I would say that the right column of kanji states something to the effect of: October 28, 1939 (Showa 14 year, 10th(?) month, 28th day). Maybe not the correct date, but I am willing to bet a date regardless. The left column I could not tell you.
