    Japanese M18 Helmet

Perusing an interesting site, http://www.militaryheadgear.com, and ran across pics of a Japanese M18 that was used by the Chinese Nationalists in the Second Sino-Japanese war. Don't believe I had seen this model before. See http://www.militaryheadgear.com/items/7525

That's not a Japanese helmet, its a Chinese. They mistaken the that helmet for the similar looking one that the Japanese had (the cherry blossom on top). The difference though is that this helmet is a plum blossom, where as the Japanese had a Cherry blossom. The plum blossom helmet is a copy of the cherry blossom that the Chinese made during the war.
