          I think the number is 4. 22 and i have no idea what is this date all about. Also no idea is it political or army.

                    You guys don't recognize that face? That's Chairman Mao. This is not Japanese and not WWII period. It's probably just a Chinese political armband from the 1960s or something.

                      Hello 1943,

                      I think we all recognize the Chairman. Nobody suggested it was Japanese nor WWII period. It does indeed look like a political armband as was suggested by Didier.
