Type 95 version 2 and 2a front seppa.

I have been asked about the differences in the front seppa on the aluminium tsuka, top latch, iron tsuba Type 95 NCO swords. This pic will show the difference. Version 2 has a full seppa. The next in the developmental line, referred to as 2A in the Dawson book, is cut away.

It's interesting to note that they then went back to a full seppa with the side latch model.
