Some insignia to ID

I purchased these in a lot and need ID on them I am going to move them out but do not know what they are. If anyone is able to help i would very much appreciate it.

photo 1 is IJN Lieutenant Commander shoulder boards.
photo 4 are branch insignia for the Infantry worn on the chest (the star and the blossom are added)

here are a few more

OK on your new photos you have two officers field cap stars, I believe the middle photo are the officers stars worn on the cuff of the type 98 / 3 tunic (I can never remember what one had the cuff stars)

and the last one is either merchant navy or some other civilian organisation I'm not sure on it to be honest, but the stars are added and from army rank insignia.

Your 8-pointed star insignia might be related to the IJN academy. Same design on sake cups here:
