      Hello Bruno,

      Each of us views these things differently of course but I feel you should leave it alone, particularly as you are experiencing difficulties right at the start with the removal of the tsuka.

      As to the scabbard, I'm now inclined to think repaint for two reasons. First, because of the difference between the levels of paint remaining on the scabbard and the tsuka. Also because I think I can see some excess paint in the eighth photo you have posted.
