Silk Meatball flag with stitched Kanji

Hi Guy's
I'd like your input on this meatball flag that I'm considering letting go.
Its made from silk and the Kanji as well as the meatball have been stitched to the flag. It was one of several Japanese flags I aquired some years ago from a vet that served on the Aircraft Carrier HMS Indifatigable whilest it was based in Hong Kong Harbour during the surrender in 1945. Its condition is generally very good apart from a little fraying and blood stains

I've not seen such a flag before. Interesting. The lack of replies here makes me think it's unusual enough to warrant the attention of Dr. Mike Bortner, the go to guy for Yosegaki Hinomaru. I don't know if he's a member here but if he is a PM might be the way to go. I know he's a member over on WAF (MikeB) so if you frequent that forum as well as GHW you might contact him there or through his web site...

Didn't really try to translate it, but the bottom line has the year "30" (1955), so... Maybe it's not a date but "30 years". I don't know, don't have time to work on it right this moment.

Year 30 in this case means 1941, as it is in the Minguo calendar, the Republic of China Calendar.
This flag was presented by a Chinese Company to the Japanese garrison there.
